Trump’s talk becomes action with flurry of executive orders

After declaring in his inaugural address that the “hour of action” had arrived, President Trump took steps late Friday to lift Obamacare provisions, freeze regulatory activity and suspend a federal mortgage premium rate cut enacted by his predecessor.

Trump’s team has spent weeks vetting hundreds of potential executive actions he could take to unravel Obama-era policies and pave the way for his populist agenda. The orders he signed Friday were just the beginning, though their impact is already far-reaching.
