A Russian military aircraft carrying entertainers sent to perform for Russian troops in Syria crashed into the Black Sea late Saturday, killing all 92 people aboard.
The plane went down shortly after takeoff from Sochi, Russia. Among the dead were members of the world-famous Red Army Choir, as well as dancers and orchestra members. Russian reporters and military servicemembers were also aboard.
Russian President Vladimir Putin declared Dec. 26 a national day of mourning.
The plane went down just two minutes after departing Sochi. There is no word yet on the cause of the crash, but Russian officials were ruling out terrorism.
