The White House announced Wednesday that President Trump will donate his second-quarter salary to the Department of Education.
Education Secretary Betsy DeVos told reporters the president’s quarterly salary of $100,000 will be used to host a camp for kids focused on science, technology, engineering, and math, or the STEM fields.
Last quarter, Trump’s salary went to the restoration of two projects at Antietam National Battlefield. In addition to the president’s donation, additional donors contributed to bring the total gift funding the restorations to $260,000.
