WHAT: Meeks recently had a local developer and campaign contributor build a home for him.
WHY IT’S AN OUTRAGE: Meeks and his wife paid $830,000 for the home, but independent appraisers told the New York Times that estimate is “substantially below market” and that the house is likely worth more than a million dollars. Meeks claims he has no more than a few thousand dollars in savings.
