Chelsea Handler apologizes on behalf of the Trump administration

Liberal comedian Chelsea Handler apologized on behalf of the Trump administration for its decision to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.

The decision to end the program puts nearly 800,000 immigrants who were brought to the U.S. illegally as children at risk for deportation. President Trump has given Congress six months to find a solution.

“I would like to apologize on behalf of the entire Trump administration. We are sorry for making it clear that white supremacists and Nazis are welcome in this country where young immigrants brought here as children are not,” Handler said during a taping of her Netflix show Wednesday.

Handler said the average Dreamer was brought to the U.S. at age 6 and would have no place to return to in their home countries.

“These young people are the American dream — 91 percent of them are employed and 99 percent have no criminal record,” she said.

She then took a shot at Trump.

“That means they’ve never obstructed justice, colluded with Russia, funneled millions of taxpayer dollars into their businesses, falsely accused people of wiretapping them, carelessly taunted a Korean dictator with nuclear weapons, bragged about sexual assault, or pardoned a racist maniac,” Handler said.

Last month Handler called for a coup d’etat against Trump as the president escalated his rhetoric against North Korea.
