Kanye West files for Arkansas ballot access with ‘biblical life coach’ Michelle Tidball as running mate

Another day, another petition filed by Kanye West as the rapper-turned-presidential candidate continues his outsider bid for the White House.

On Monday, a spokesperson for the Arkansas secretary of state confirmed that West’s campaign team filed the more than 1,000 signatures needed to appear on the state’s ballot as an independent candidate representing the Birthday Party. The candidate named “biblical life coach” Michelle Tidball as his running mate on the ballot filing, according to TMZ.

West confirmed rumors that he planned to have Tidball, a conservative pastor from Wyoming, join the ticket as his vice presidential candidate last month. Tidball is a 57-year-old former “mental health therapist” who has previously stated that she doesn’t watch the news. She lives in Cody, Wyoming, where West bought a ranch in 2019, and runs her own bible study service under the moniker Abundant Ministries.

The state will now go through the process of vetting the signatures, which have been challenged in other states due to poor handwriting and strikingly similar pen strokes found on rows of petition sheets.

West, who will appear on the Oklahoma ballot and has pending petitions to appear on the ballot in Missouri, Illinois, and New Jersey, is also working to get on the pivotal battleground Wisconsin ballot, which requires more than 2,000 signatures to be turned in by 5:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday.
