Former President Bill Clinton is slated to have his own podcast.
“The show will be built on his gift for storytelling, his ability to explain complex issues in a relatable way, and showcase his wide range of interests and well-known intellectual curiosity through conversations about the ideas and events that continue to shape his work and our world,” Clinton Foundation communications chief Craig Minassian said.
The podcast is slated to be released next year through a collaboration between iHeart Media and the Clinton Foundation, according to Deadline.
“The podcast is inspired by President Clinton’s belief that the purpose of his work in public service is to give people the opportunity to live their best life story,” Minassian added.
The Clinton Foundation had a podcast last year, as well, called Why Am I Telling You This?, and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was rumored earlier this year to have an upcoming podcast also.
The announcement comes after other powerful politicians have dabbled in multimedia platforms, such as a documentary produced by the Obama family last year that earned an Oscar nomination.
“It’s the kind of story we don’t see often enough and it’s exactly what Michelle and I hope to achieve with Higher Ground,” former President Barack Obama tweeted of the family’s film company in January. “Congrats to the incredible filmmakers and entire team!”
