What happens now that Wendy Rosen has pulled out of her Maryland congressional race?
Officials in Florida said they have sent information about Rosen’s alleged voter fraud to the state’s prosecutors for investigation. The Maryland Democratic Party accused Rosen, who was running against Republican Andy Harris in the 1st Congressional District, of voting in both Maryland and Florida in 2006 and 2008. She withdrew from the race Monday after her party’s officials raised the issue, citing “personal issues.” Democratic central committees from the 1st District will select an alternate candidate soon, but most political analysts expect Harris to handily beat any competitor since the district is more conservative under redistricting.
