On Thursday, Donald Trump tweeted, “Hillary Clinton has been working on solving the terrorism problem for years. TIME FOR A CHANGE, I WILL SOLVE – AND FAST!”
For argument’s sake, let’s assume he is correct: Donald Trump has the solution to terrorism.
Isn’t it harmful to the country of which he wants to be president to hide that solution for almost a year, until he becomes president? That’s only if he’s elected. If he isn’t, will he not work with American officials to solve terrorism? Following ISIS’s attack on Brussels earlier this week, we have no time to waste is fighting terrorism.
If Trump does know how to solve terrorism, he ought to be working with President Obama and the State Department right now. Anyone who aspires to be president should be more focused on leading than being elected. This isn’t time for another “deal”—you elect me, and only then do I fix terrorism.
The alternative, of course, is he doesn’t actually know how to solve terrorism.
