Trump: ‘I’m not representing the globe’

President Trump on Friday promised to fight for the American people, and not the rest of the world, while negotiating trade deals and other interactions with foreign nations.

“This is the United States of America that I’m representing,” he told the Conservative Political Action Conference on Friday. “I’m not representing the globe, I’m representing your country.”

Trump played up his America First ethos during his speech Friday, promising to bring back money that’s being spent overseas in order to improve American infrastructure and the American military.

He said the allegiance to the United States is the one thing that brings the entire country together.

“No matter our background, or income, or geography, we’re all citizens of this blessed land,” he said. “No matter our color, or the blood, the color of the blood we bleed, it’s the same red blood of great, great patriots.”
