Goals? My goal is to catch my wife [Shandra] during the bike and enjoy the marathon with her. She’s a much faster swimmer than I am, so catching her is no easy feat. Assuming I catch her, we’re hoping to run the marathon and cross the finish line together. I’m also planning to bring a disposable camera with me on the course to take some photos of the experience. Who knows when we’ll be fortunate enough to return!
What are you dreading? I’m really looking forward to the entire experience. The hotter and windier the better! Not being able to sleep the night before is my biggest worry. If I get 2-plus hours of sleep, I’ll be happy.
What are you looking forward to after the race? I’m definitely looking forward to vacationing in Oahu with Shandra, our 2-year old daughter Madison and my mother-in-law and father-in-law. Oh, and I’m definitely looking forward to some wine!
