Full closures on southbound Interstate 95 lanes next week

Road crews working on southbound I-95 near Lorton (Exit 163) will shut down sections of all lanes just after midnight and again between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. from June 21 to 24 and from June 28 to 30.

Virginia Department of Transportation workers are scheduled to replace overhead road signs during those times.

Partial lane closures are scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. each evening, and all lanes are expected to reopen by 5 the following morning.

The work is part of the I-95 widening project, according to VDOT officials.
