Chelsea Clinton jumped to the defense of President Trump’s grandchildren after news of his eldest son Donald Trump Jr.’s divorce broke Thursday afternoon.
“Please respect the privacy of President Trump’s grandchildren,” the former first daughter tweeted. “They’re kids and deserve to not be your clickbait. Thank you.”

Vanessa Trump and Donald Trump Jr. announced their divorce in a joint statement on Thursday after she filed for divorce in the Manhattan Supreme Court after 12 years of marriage.
“After 12 years of marriage, we have decided to go our separate ways. We will always have tremendous respect for each other and our families. We have five beautiful children together and they remain our top priority. We ask for your privacy during this time,” the couple said.
Chelsea, the only child of former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, has been quick to stand up for children in the White House against media attacks in the past.
Previously she skewered an opinion piece from the Daily Caller that mocked Barron Trump’s appearance and pleaded with members of the media to leave Malia Obama alone after her private life at college had become the subject of “clickbait.”
