Democrats who reportedly are raising money to rebuild the vandalized Republican office in Hillsborough, N.C., are exhibiting behavior “consistent with the president’s optimistic outlook for the country,” White House spokesman Josh Earnest said on Monday.

The office reportedly was firebombed and spray-painted with a swastika and the threat: “Nazi Republicans get out of town or else,” over the weekend.
