Hillary Clinton is seen reading aloud portions of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report in a video posted Saturday.
Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, were in Washington for a stop on their speaking tour, when she debuted a video recorded with Comedy Central host Jordan Klepper on the same evening that President Trump rallied supporters in Wisconsin and a historian served as the entertainment for the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
The video shows the three talking about how best to spend $1,000 on “worthwhile causes that are hopefully going to make a better future.”
Klepper tells the Clintons he could raise a lot of money if he got Trump’s 2016 rival to read aloud the entire 448-page report the Justice Department recently released on Russian interference in the 2016 election. The report stated Mueller’s team was unable to establish conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia, but in regards to possible obstruction of justice by Trump was not able to “conclusively determine” that no criminal conduct had taken place.
“Gosh, I would definitely contribute to that,” Clinton said. “It would take a long time to record that … It would take lots and lots of lozenges.”
Clinton began reading the conclusion from Mueller’s report and in the background dramatic music can be heard. Klepper interrupted her to say she needed to read it like “you mean it.”
“Feel it. Feel it, just imagine like you have a history with this,” he said.
“The investigation established that the Russian government perceived it would benefit from a Trump presidency and worked to secure that outcome, and that the Campaign expected it would benefit electorally,” she read.
“The president slumped back in his chair and said, ‘Oh my God. This is terrible. This is the end of my presidency. I’m fucked,'” she continued, paraphrasing Trump.
Klepper said he would pay to listen to her read the full report. Clinton said she would chip in some money to send Attorney General William Barr “back to law school for continuing legal education.” Barr announced the report’s findings and declared Trump cleared.
