Vice President Mike Pence will campaign for Sen. Luther Strange in Alabama Monday night before the Republican primary in the election to replace Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
The White House announced Pence would be traveling to Alabama to speak at a rally for Strange at 7:30 p.m. local time on Monday. Strange faces former Alabama Supreme Court Judge Roy Moore the next day in the primary.
Strange is the pick of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and President Trump while Moore is supported by more populist, insurgent GOP figures like Steve Bannon.
During his time in Alabama, Pence will also visit the Marshall Space Center to meet NASA employees and officials.
