Who’s playing in the 2017 congressional baseball game?

Just in time for Thursday’s annual congressional baseball game, check out these baseball cards for each member of Congress on the roster.

The data trackers at Quorum have legislative stats for each member before the Democrats and Republicans face off at Nationals Park.

Thursday’s game is moving forward despite Wednesday’s early morning shooting at the Republicans’ practice, where four were shot including House Majority Whip Steve Scalise.

The congressional baseball game dates back to 1909. The series is tied 39-39-1. Rep. Joe Barton, R-Texas, and Rep. Mike Doyle, D-Pa., are the managers for each side.

Proceeds from the game will go to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, the Washington Nationals Dream Foundation and the Washington Literacy Center. Donations can be made here.

While most of the players are men, there are two women on the Democrats’ roster: Nanette Diaz Barragan, D-Calif.; and Linda Sanchez, D-Calif.

The annual congressional women’s softball game is on June 21, when the Democratic and Republican women play together against members of the press corps.

Editor’s note: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated that the congressional baseball teams had only men on their rosters. The Democratic team had two women.
