President Trump urged Republican senators to work quickly to pass tax reform and to not disappoint the American public with their work Sunday night.
“Republican Senators are working very hard to get Tax Cuts and Tax Reform approved. Hopefully it will not be long and they do not want to disappoint the American public!” he tweeted.

The full Senate is considering the upper chamber’s version of a tax reform bill after the Senate Finance Committee passed it last week. The House passed their own version of the bill last week.
Trump has been pushing for tax reform — and tax cuts — since he came into office and is pushing for tax reform to be his first major legislative win during 2017.
Trump came to office promising to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, pass tax reform and pass a major infrastructure package. He has so far failed to do all three, but tax reform appears to be in position to be a possible win for the White House.
