The GOP-led House Judiciary Committee announced FBI Director Christopher Wray will testify next Wednesday at a hearing relating to “the politicization of the nation’s preeminent law enforcement agency.”
The newly revealed testimony comes as Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland of the Justice Department continue to face scrutiny for weaponizing the federal justice system against political opponents, such as former President Donald Trump, while favoring Democrats.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, and many other GOP lawmakers have been critical of the FBI and the DOJ for being politically biased when investigating and prosecuting Republicans. Some have even called for Wray’s resignation.
Wray’s testimony will come amid boiling tensions between House Republicans and the Department of Justice following the indictment of Trump on 37 felony charges and frustrations regarding Hunter Biden’s plea deal.
