Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett plans to spend some time Wednesday morning with some of Montgomery County’s over 1,100 homeless people at “Homeless Resource Day.”
Sponsored by Gaithersburg and the county, the event will offer homeless individuals free medical screenings, legal and financial services, substance abuse and mental health counseling, haircuts and pedicures.
The event will be held Wedensday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bohrer Park Activity Center at 506 South Frederick Ave. in Gaithersburg. Transportation will be provided from several shelters and from the Bethesda, Silver Spring and Rockville Metro stations.
