District to pay motorists to use transit

The District of Columbia will give some motorists $50 a month this summer if they switch to mass transit or ride-sharing programs instead of driving into the city.

The program, which is known as Bridge Bucks, is aimed at drivers who use the Frederick Douglass Bridge to enter the city.
