The family of an inmate who died in his jail cell wonders why results of his autopsy have not been released.
Ronnie Lionel White, 19, of Laurel, was found dead June 29, two days after he was charged in the hit-and-run death of Prince George’s Police Cpl. Richard Findley, of New Windsor in Carroll.
The state medical examiner’s office issued a preliminary ruling the next day that White’s death was a homicide and county officials said White had been strangled in the solitary confinement cell.
Bobby Henry, the attorney representing White’s family, said the delay is a disservice to the family, community and state.
The medical examiner’s office said the deadline for the final autopsy report has passed. – AP
