Jeb Bush ‘encouraged’ after Trump ‘bill of love’ immigration comments

Former Florida governor and 2016 Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush signaled his approval of President Trump seeking a “bill of love” on immigration.

“Encouraged the President is seeking bipartisan solutions to our immigration challenges,” Bush tweeted Tuesday afternoon shortly after Trump made the comments to reporters at the White House.

Trump told a bipartisan group of lawmakers on Tuesday that the group of politicians share a desire to agree on a bill that would legalize Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, a program former President Obama created by executive order.

Trump urged House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., to make sure the bill his committee moves on is a “bill of love.”

Bush referred to illegal immigration as an “act of love” in April 2014.
