Trump claims Obama is behind massive turnout at town halls

President Trump proposed that hoards of angry people at town hall across the country were planted at Republican lawmakers’ events by former President Barack Obama.

A member of the Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” panel who interviewed Trump stated that Obama and his organization, likely Organizing for Action, were behind the massive turnout at town halls.

“I think that President Obama is behind it because his people certainly are behind it,” Trump told “Fox & Friends” in a pre-taped interview set to air Tuesday morning. “In terms of him being behind things, that’s politics. It will probably continue.”

Trump explained that his predecessors, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, did not experience the same type of pushback, but that Obama’s treating him this way was not unprecedented.

“Well, you never know what’s exactly happening behind the scenes, you mean, you’re probably right or possibly right, but you never know,” Trump said about the former presidents.

Last week, Trump tweeted that professional protesters were being deployed to GOP lawmakers’ town halls across the country.
