SAIC wins $28m Navy tech job McLean-based SAIC will provide project management and systems integration to the Navy’s enterprise resource planning program, under a new contract worth as much as $28 million.
The one-year contract has three one-year options.
The work will be done with the Navy’s Strategic Systems Program Command, which oversees engineering and logistics of the Navy’s strategic weapons systems.
SAIC had fiscal third-quarter sales of $2.87 billion, up 4 percent from a year earlier. It will report full fiscal 2011 results in March and has forecast fiscal 2012 sales of as much as $11.7 billion.
Ted Leonsis steps up Groupon backing
Ted Leonsis, one of Groupon’s early investors and a member of its board of directors, has increased his investment in the daily online coupon site and named Groupon the exclusive online coupon partner for the Washington Wizards, Washington Capitals and Washington Mystics.
Groupon raised another $16.12 million in funding, according to a regulatory filing Friday, with Leonsis and Peter Barris of New Enterprise Associates listed as principals in the latest round of financing.
Groupon, whose biggest competitor is D.C.-based LivingSocial, has raised more than $1 billion since its founding.
