Washington-based private equity firm DC Capital Partners LLC has established a board of advisers.
The firm invests mainly in defense, government services, homeland security, energy and health care.
The new board consists of leaders in these fields, including: Richard Armitage, former deputy secretary of state; Ambassador Henry Crumpton, former coordinator for counterterrorism at the Department of State; retired Gen. Michael Hagee, former commandant of the Marine Corps; retired Vice Adm. Stephen Loftus, former deputy chief of Naval Operations for Logistics and former director of the Office of the Budget for the Navy; retired Gen. Eric Shinseki, former chief of staff of the Army; and Jeffrey Smith, senior partner of Arnold and Porter, and former general counsel at the CIA and the Senate Armed Services Committee.
DC Capital announced in late July the creation of a new company, National Interests Security Company LLC, a combination of two companies it recently acquired — Omen Inc., the intelligence services division of Global Analytic IT Services Inc., and Technology and Management Services Inc.
DC Capital also announced earlier this month that it had acquired a controlling interest in Alexandria-based consulting firm The SPECTRUM Group.
