» Client: The Christopher Companies
» Job: Design a new Web site for the Fairfax-based real estate company that will set them apart from other developers in the area.
» Agency: Qorvis Communications with offices in Tysons Corner and the District
» Theme: Creative Director Jason Siegel developed the site with a “realism” theme. Rather than a static digital look, Siegel included elements that made the site look like a real desktop.
For example, different items on the desk are “attached” to the screen using paper clips. Siegel’s hand also slides photos and other items on to the screen.
» The Concept: Since the majority of would-be homebuyers start their search online, a stand-out Web site is one of the most important elements of a company’s marketing strategy. The Christopher Companies hired Qorvis to create a site that would “cut through the clutter,” Siegel said. “With mortgage rates going up, advertising [spending] is going through the roof.” The company needed “an original Web site that stands out from other home builders,” he said.
» The Plan: The Web site may pique a potential homebuyer’s interest, but Qorvis also forged a partnership with UFollowUp, an online lead generation system that automatically follows up with Web site visitors. Visitors who register with the site get six e-mails during the next eight weeks, which drives traffic back to the Web site.
» Creative Team: Jason Siegel, creative director
