Five companies seek funding at ‘Grubstake Breakfast’

Five up-and-coming technology companies will make their pitch for more than $6 million in funding at Thursday’s “Grubstake Breakfast,” an investors forum sponsored by the Business Alliance of George Mason University.

» Enterprise Elements Inc. (Reston): A data management software company aimed at large corporate and government clients that need to build complex online systems in a short amount of time. The firm’s main product, Elements Repository, facilitates large-scale data storage, analysis and management. Enterprise already has several federal clients and seeks $1.5 million to expand further into the federal marketplace.

» iNeoMarketing (Herndon): An online marketing agency for business-to-business companies looks to increase sales leads and reduce its sales cycle. PluraPage, the firm’s premier product, allows non-technical users to build customized Web pages that match their clients’ marketing needs. PluraPage reduces lead times by removing the need for an IT employee to build web pages for a sales team. iNeoMarketing is asking for $1 million to $2 million in order to continue its market expansion and develop the next generation of PluraPage.

» Security Knowledge Solutions LLC (Potomac Falls): A Web-based company providing eLearning for security personnel in the Homeland Security market. The company’s first product, iScreen, is a simulation systemthat teaches employees how to assess images from security X-ray machines. Clients include the U.S. Army and Customs and Borders Protection. Security Knowledge Solutions is seeking $1.2 million to expand its sales team and continue product development.

» South49 Solutions (Sterling): A software company aimed at clients with widely distributed work forces. South49’s software allows companies to remotely manage projects with an online system that connects employees in various locations. The company is primarily working with clients in the retail industry who have thousands of employees across the country. South49 seeks $1.5 million for sales and marketing efforts and to continue technical development.

» XTS (Ellicott City): XTS provides turnkey reporting and analysis products to manage multiple business systems. The software facilitates planning and enterprise management, compliance, security audits and IT governance. The company seeks $1 million to expand product capabilities and boost sales, marketing and customer support efforts.
