ICF International, a Fairfax-based company that offers consulting services and technology solutions to government and corporate clients, has acquired Advanced Performance Consulting Group, a woman-owned firm based in Washington. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 1998, Advanced Performance Consulting Group offers a variety of consulting services for federal clients, including development of communication strategies. The firm’s two founders will continue to oversee the company and all 29 employees will be retained, said a spokeswoman for ICF.
Advanced Performance will bring new expertise to ICF, as well as a new set of clients, said Sudhakar Kesavan, chief executive officer at ICF.
“Across a broad array of federal and other government clients, ICF can provide scale and complementary expertise to APCG’s strategic consultingservices,” Kesavan said in a statement, “while APCG can provide ICF with an expanded set of clients and experience in strategic organization and performance measurement.”
The acquisition is the fourth local one for ICF in the past two years. Earlier this month, the company bought Energy and Environmental Analysis Inc., an Arlington-based firm that specializes in energy and environmental analysis. In 2005, the ICF added more than 500 employees with the acquisition of two additional consulting firms. Synergy, Inc. in the District focuses on defense-related and information technology services. Fairfax-based Caliber Associates offers health and human services consulting to federal clients.
ICF employs 1,000 people in the Washington region, more than half of its 1,800 total employees.
