Spacenet wins new lottery work McLean-based Spacenet Inc. won multiyear contracts to support more than 27,000 lottery sales sites in Texas and Illinois. Financial details of the deals were not disclosed.
The contracts are in addition to previous awards from lottery operations in Indiana, Louisiana and Texas. Spacenet, a subsidiary of Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd., said its agreements bring to 33,000 the number of terminals it supports across the five states.
Founded in 1981, Spacenet designs, develops and manages wire-line and wireless broadband network solutions for U.S.-based business, industrial and government customers.
CSC lands Food and Drug Administration order
CSC announced Monday that the Food and Drug Administration awarded the Falls Church company a task order to provide support services for the agency’s scientific computing community.
The task order, which has a one-year base period and two one-year options, falls under the Information and Computing Technologies for the 21st Century contract vehicle originally awarded in 2008.
A dollar figure has not been announced. Under the terms of the task order, CSC will provide scientific computing services to meet the special requirements of the FDA.
