SAIC wins $2.5 billion State Department job SAIC Inc. of McLean will design, build and operate a secure an IT network for the State Department under a contract worth as much as $2.5 billion over 10 years. The award has a one-year base period and nine one-year options.

It is part of the State Department’s effort to build a single Foreign Affairs Network for diplomatic missions.

SAIC had third-quarter sales of $2.87 billion, up 4 percent from a year earlier. It will report full fiscal 2011 results in March and has forecast fiscal 2012 revenue of as much as $11.7 billion.

Gannett replaces PointRoll CEO

Gannett Co. Inc. named Robert Gatto chief executive of its Internet display advertising division PointRoll. He will oversee both PointRoll and its retail division ShopLocal.

Gatto replaces Jason Tafler, who Gannett says has left the McLean company to be closer to family in Canada.

A&M Supply relocates to Prince George’s County

Alexandria building materials company A&M Supply Corp. will relocate its distribution center to Upper Marlboro in one of the largest industrial leases in Prince George’s County since April 2010.
