The price of oil rose slightly Tuesday on signs that China’s manufacturing sector is getting stronger.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange:
Benchmark crude rose by 36 cents to end the day at $88.50 per barrel.
Gasoline fell by 5.81 cents to finish at $2.8248 per gallon.
Heating oil added less than a penny to finish at $2.8244 per gallon.
Natural gas rose 7 cents to finish at $3.1870 per 1,000 cubic feet.
On the ICE Futures exchange in London:
Brent crude rose 16 cents to finish at $103.42 per barrel.
