Blackboard Inc. will hold a summit in Dubai to inform Middle Eastern companies about e-learning opportunities. The summit, scheduled for September 5-6 at Dubai Men’s College, will bring together representatives from Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, among others, according to a Wednesday press release from the D.C.-based company.
The gathering provides Blackboard an opportunity to market its e-Learning products to new clients, the release said. The company announced in May that the Middle East has proven a strong market for the firm, withmore than 30 schools in the Middle East using Blackboard technology.
Blackboard has partnered with other firms including Edutech Middle East, General Computers & Electronics and Integrated Solutions for Business to help grow their business in the region, the release said.
