VIDEO — Weekly Examiner: The GOP’s big week

This week was all about the 2014 midterm elections.

Republicans had a huge night on Tuesday winning control of the Senate with big wins in North Carolina, Georgia, Colorado and other states. Democratic Sen. Harry Reid will no longer be Senate Majority Leader and current Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is expected to take over that role once the new session begins.

President Obama held a press conference on Wednesday to address the GOP’s rout of the Left in the elections saying, “The American people sent a message. They expect the people they elect to work as hard as they do. All of us in both parties have a responsibility to address that sentiment.”
