Hillary Clinton exposed classified information to enemy hackers and doesn’t have the judgment to be commander in chief, according to Congressman — and combat vet — Adam Kinzinger.
In a wide-ranging interview with the Washington Examiner‘s Lisa Boothe, Rep. Kinzinger drew on his military experience to review the issues at stake in the 2016 election. A decorated pilot who flew missions in Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom, Kinzinger said national security has “obviously been compromised” by the former secretary of state.
“The Russians have the capability, and it’s reasonable to think they hacked into her private server,” Kinzinger said, calling Clinton’s decision to use a private, unsecure email system while secretary of state “absolutely awful.”
“She thinks she’s above the law,” Kinzinger said.
When asked if he believed Clinton has the judgment to be commander in chief, Kinzinger replied, “Doesn’t look like it.”
Rep. Kinzinger, a Republican from Illinois, also talked about how the events of Sept. 11, 2001 changed his life, inspiring him to join the U.S. Air Force. This service, he said, has informed his approach to public policy as a member of Congress — particularly regarding national security and foreign policy — and his continued service as a major in the Air National Guard today keeps him in contact with the men and women of the U.S. military he represents.
