Here’s President Trump’s advice to his 25-year-old self

At a White House forum on millennial issues Thursday, President Trump answered serious questions about policies impacting young people. One less serious response, however, was given when Charlie Kirk of Turning Point USA asked the President, “What advice would you give to the 25 year-old Donald Trump, knowing what you know today?”

His answer was simple: “Don’t run for president.”

The line was met with laughter and applause.

“But we’re glad you did,” Kirk quickly responded.

Trump reflected on his decision to get into politics, saying, “I was getting such great [publicity] until I ran for office.” He then discussed the fake news he and his administration face.

Other members of the Trump administration joined the president at the forum titled “Generation Next” including adviser to the president (and his daughter) Ivanka Trump, Secretary of Labor Alex Acosta, counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway, and Department of Justice Director of Public Affairs Sarah Flores.
