The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is celebrating a big month for fundraising.
The DCCC says it raised a record-breaking $11.5 million in July, outpacing the $8 million raised by the National Republican Congressional Committee.
Why such big numbers? Many say it has a lot to do with calls to sue or impeach President Obama, which likely played a role in raking in $7 million dollars in online donations last month.
Both parties are expected to continue with heavy spending heading into the 2014 midterm elections this November.
