Terry McAuliffe loses Fox News polling advantage in final days of Virginia governor race

Polling from Fox News shows an upswing for Glenn Youngkin in the final days before the Nov. 2 election for Virginia governor.

Whereas a survey released by the network two weeks ago showed Democratic candidate Terry McAuliffe with a 5 percentage point advantage, poll results released on Thursday show his GOP rival ahead by 8 points.

Youngkin’s 53% lead to McAuliffe’s 45% among likely voters is outside the poll’s margin of error. Fox News attributes the shift to “GOP enthusiasm” in a race largely focused on education.
