Biden campaign mocked for hosting Instagram Q&A with no questions or answers

Joe Biden held a question-and-answer session on Instagram that featured no questions or answers, much to the delight of the Trump campaign.

The Democratic presidential nominee posted a story to his Instagram page on Tuesday urging supporters to send in questions that he would answer, a popular feature on the platform.

“I’m answering your questions. Ask me anything!” the post said.

Several hours later, no questions were answered. The campaign added other content on the page, including a post from rapper Cardi B, but no questions or answers were posted to Biden’s 3.4 million followers.

Members of President Trump’s reelection campaign noticed that Biden never followed through on his promise to answer questions. Abigail Marone, a member of the Trump campaign’s rapid response team, mocked Biden for not following up with the questions. Francis Brennan, the director of strategic response for the Trump campaign, also laughed at Biden for failing to deliver answers.

“Lol Joe Biden’s staff posted ‘I’m answering your questions. Ask me anything!’ on his Instagram story 14 hours ago and they have yet to post any questions or answers,” Marone wrote.

Biden has been criticized by the Trump campaign for hosting few press conferences and campaign events in recent months. Many reporters have also grown frustrated with the lack of press access to Biden.
