Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., said Thursday it’s “way too early” to be talking about endorsements for the 2020 presidential race.
“It could be a completely different world by 2020. We have a 2018 election first … it’s just way too early to be talking about it,” Johnson said on CNN when pressed on answering whether he would support President Trump’s bid for 2020.

Johnson’s comments are similar to Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, who responded to the same question.
“I don’t know what the world is going to look like,” Cornyn said when asked if he would endorse Trump for re-election. “But let’s say it’s not something I’ve given any thought to.”
