Former Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker opposite Pence in debate preparation: Report

Former Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is apparently assisting Vice President Mike Pence with preparations for his upcoming debate with Sen. Kamala Harris.

Sources told the Washington Post in a report Thursday that Walker, who ran a brief campaign for the GOP presidential nomination in the 2016 contest, has been serving as Pence’s opponent in practice sessions, effectively standing in for Harris.

Walker declined to comment on the matter or confirm if he was helping Pence when contacted by the outlet.

The debate is scheduled to take place on Oct. 7 in Salt Lake City. USA Today’s Susan Page will be the moderator.

Walker assisted Pence in his 2016 debate prep, standing in for Sen. Tim Kaine, who was Hillary Clinton’s running mate.

Although Walker is no longer in public office, he has not retired from the public eye or conservative politics. He is the president-elect of the Young America’s Foundation.
