VIDEO: Sen. Rand Paul joins Gillespie, Dave Brat in Virginia

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky. hit the campaign trail Wednesday afternoon with Republican candidate for Senate Ed Gillespie and Republican candidate for Congress Dave Brat.

The event, held just outside Richmond, Va., focused heavily on repealing the Affordable Care Act and the economy, two main issues Republicans are hoping will drive voters to the polls in November.

Gillespie, who is challenging incumbent Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va., stuck to his strict campaign messaging on the economy while Dave Bratt, who made news earlier this year when he defeated House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in the district’s primary, talked about a flat tax rate and repealing Obamacare.

This is just one of many stops for Paul. He’s scheduled to be in New Hampshire, Iowa, Kansas and Ohio over the coming weeks helping candidates ahead of the November elections.
