Former Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum said Monday a crowded GOP field won’t deter his decision on whether to run for the White House again.
Speaking before the 2015 South Carolina Tea Party Coalition Convention, Santorum seemed optimistic he can position himself as the conservative alternative to the likes of former Republican nominee Mitt Romney and Jeb Bush. Santorum ran a strong campaign in 2012 before giving way to Romney.
In addition to potential challenges from Romney and Bush, Santorum could be running against Sens. Rand Paul, R-Ky., and Marco Rubio, R-Fla., and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, among others.
