Boehner resignation, Pope Francis, Clinton to lead Sunday shows

The Sunday morning shows are likely to discuss House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, and his sudden resignation, as well as whether the decision was influenced by Pope Francis’ historic speech to Congress. Boehner will have a live interview Sunday on CBS’ “Face the Nation.”

As the pope finishes his visit to the U.S. Sunday, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power, is expected to talk about the pope’s trip, which included a Friday speech to the U.N., on ABC’s “This Week.”

The Sunday shows will also have their usual lineup of 2016 presidential candidates, and this week that includes Democrat candidates Hillary Clinton, former Maryland governor Martin O’Malley and Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., as well as Republican presidential candidates former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Ben Carson, Carly Fiorina and Ohio Gov. John Kasich.
