A victory is worth three times more than a loss for Sanders

Victory in New Hampshire is worth three times more than a loss, judging by the fundraising emails sent out by the Democratic presidential primary candidates Tuesday night.

Not long after the polls closed and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders was projected to be the victor, both he and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton tried to fundraise off their respective finishes.

Clinton consoled her supporters while trying to free them from a bit more of their money in her email. The former New York senator asked for just $1 while suffering a crushing defeat.

“I know what it’s like to get knocked down and I’ve learned from long experience that it’s not about whether you get knocked down that matters, it’s about whether you get back up,” she said. “I’m ready to keep fighting now. If you’re with me, chip in $1.”

Meanwhile Sanders, rolling on a landslide win, played up his anti-establishment credentials and said the Democratic establishment would be coming after him with everything they could.

And, for his win, you should give him $3.

“Who knows what they’re going to throw at us next. All I know is we must be ready to respond, organize and win,” he said. “Make a $3 contribution to our campaign tonight and we are going to win this Democratic primary, the White House and take back our country from the billionaire class.”
