Fox News’ Megyn Kelly will moderate her second GOP presidential primary debate on Jan. 28, just days before the Iowa caucuses, the network announced Monday.
The seventh scheduled showdown between the GOP candidates, which will be held at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, will air at 9:00 p.m. EST.
The network hasn’t explained yet how candidates can qualify to participate in the last debate before the Iowa caucuses.
Fox’s Bret Baier and Chris Wallace will also return for a second time to moderate along with Kelly. The three anchors moderated the first GOP debate on Aug. 6, which ended with Trump accusing Kelly of unfair treatment.
The casino tycoon said it was “unprofessional” for Kelly to ask him to address disparaging remarks that he has made about women.
“You once told a contestant on ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ it would be a pretty picture to see her on her knees,” Kelly said. “Does that sound to you like the temperament of a man we should elect as president, and how will you answer the charge from Hillary Clinton, who is likely to be the Democratic nominee, that you are part of the war on women?”
Trump responded by claiming “political correctness” is killing the country.
Immediately after the debate, the billionaire businessman complained to reporters that Kelly had been “unfair” to him. The feud escalated quickly after Trump seemed to suggest later in an interview with CNN that Kelly was menstruating during the debate.
“She gets out and she starts asking me all sorts of ridiculous questions,” Trump said. “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her … wherever.”
Trump denied he meant to imply anything about menstruation, and he continued to demand an apology from Kelly.
“She should really be apologizing to me, you want to know the truth. And other candidates have said that,” he said during an MSNBC interview.
Kelly said later on her program that she would not apologize to former reality TV star.
“I’ve decided not to respond [to Trump],” she said in August. “I certainly will not apologize for doing good journalism, without fear or favor … It’s time now to move forward. And now back to the news.”
Since then, Trump has used his Twitter account repeatedly to take swipes at Kelly and her evening program.
