VIDEO: Poll shows Democrats lead Senate races in Colorado, Michigan

A new NBC News/Marist poll released Tuesday shows good news for Democrats in key Senate races in Colorado and Michigan. In Colorado, the poll shows incumbent Sen. Mark Udall ahead of his GOP challenger Cory Gardner by seven points, 48 to 41 percent. In Michigan, Democrat Congressman Gary Peters leads Republican Terri Lynn Land by six points, 43 to 37 percent.

There is some good news for Republicans, however, In Michigan’s gubernatorial race, incumbent Gov. Rick Snyder leads his Democratic challenger Mark Schauer by two points, 46 to 44 percent.

Republicans need all the help they can get during this year’s midterm elections as the party looks to gain six seats to take the Senate majority.
