Michigan State Sen. Mallory McMorrow dropped out of the Senate race weeks ahead of the Democratic primary, narrowing the field to just two major candidates.

McMorrow announced her exit in a post on social media on Sunday, thanking supporters and outlining her political journey, but not giving an explicit reason for her dropping out.
