Johnson leads charge in committing millions to NRCC after Vance push

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) is investing $13 million in third-quarter fundraising toward the National Republican Congressional Committee and helping Republican House candidates in the midterm elections.

Vice President JD Vance conferenced with House Republicans on Tuesday, encouraging lawmakers in safe Republican seats to invest in the NRCC and help candidates in more marginal districts. In the meeting, various Republicans pledged money to the committee, including Reps. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Brandon Gill (R-TX), who each gave about $1 million, per multiple reports.
