Former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown offered his advice for Vice President Kamala Harris as she battles former President Donald Trump, including keeping people “guessing” about her ideology.

Harris and Brown dated in the 1990s, and around the time the two were in a relationship, she was appointed to two California boards. Brown has also supported Harris in subsequent races. The former mayor told Politico that while he is no longer directly in touch with the vice president, he has several suggestions as she seeks to win the presidency.
